Sybile Val, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and has extensive training in plastic and reconstructive surgery techniques. She joins the world-renowned surgeons at the Center for Restorative Breast Surgery from her Atlanta-based practice. She sees patients in New Orleans and Atlanta.
Dr. Val earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY, and attended medical school at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Following medical school, she completed a general surgery residency program at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, and a three-year plastic and reconstructive surgery training program at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She focused on microsurgical training in both trauma & breast reconstruction, including DIEP flap surgery.
Her interest in breast reconstruction led to numerous presentations at national and international meetings and the performance of more than 200 microvascular breast and trauma reconstructions. Her study of cosmetic surgery and fat grafting led to her participating in research projects on fat grafting and presentations on the topic at national meetings. Dr. Val’s areas of special interest include breast reduction, breast lift, body contouring, fat grafting, breast reconstruction, and injectables, with numerous services provided for the face, breast, and body.
