In recent years, advances in breast cancer reconstruction have allowed women to return to their natural shape following a mastectomy. Women now have many choices, including immediate breast cancer reconstruction that can help them to maintain a healthy body image. At the Center for Restorative Breast Surgery, we offer all advanced breast cancer reconstruction techniques. Our primary goal with these procedures is to help our patients feel whole again.

According to a recently published study by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons seven out of 10 women are not informed of their breast reconstructive options. Before making any decisions regarding surgery, it is important to discuss all of your breast cancer reconstruction options with your surgeon. He or she can give further details to you about the procedures that will be the most beneficial for your particular case. Together, you can make an informed decision on the type of breast cancer reconstruction that would give you the best outcome.

Procedure: Her fatty deposits were too thin for either a DIEP or Hip flap. A BODY LIFT Flap procedure, layering both a DIEP and a Hip flap into each breast was performed at time of bilateral nipple sparing mastectomy to restore volume and projection. Before (left) and after (right).
